Begin with a neighbourhood calendar
For an event close to home, find your community association and open its current calendar. In Mahogany, the HOA publishes a calendar of local events; our separate Mahogany guide collects selected 2026 dates with official links and attendance notes.
This page helps you find calendars and organisers. It is not a complete live list of everything happening in Calgary today or this weekend. Use the date on an individual event page, and check the year as well as the day and month.
Explore library events and recurring activities
Calgary Public Library publishes events and programmes for different ages and interests. Its events page includes performances, learning activities and a Seniors Drop-In Social Club for adults aged 55 and over at selected branches.
Open the specific listing to check the branch, age group, time, registration and price. Do not assume that every event is a free drop-in. For a family outing, check the activity’s intended age range and whether adults need to register too.
Find a group around something you enjoy
Meetup’s Calgary listings are another route to groups and activities around an interest. Compare the organiser’s description, the meeting point and participation requirements. A group’s existence does not guarantee that it has an event on your chosen date.
If meeting people is your main goal, look for an activity you could attend again. A weekly or monthly plan may give you a more natural next step than a one-off outing.
Check the details before heading out
Confirm the date, venue, admission, guest rules and booking status on the organiser’s latest page. For outdoor activities, check the organiser’s weather or cancellation update close to departure. Save the meeting point and leave time to find the entrance.
HeyNeibo does not issue tickets or manage event registrations. Book directly with the organiser and use its contact details for accessibility or attendance questions.
